On May 26th, 2018 Helan Turbines took part in meeting held in Beijing related to domestic science and technology projects in power machinery, where successfully presented to experts originally designed gas turbine engine. The meeting was also attended by the leaders from Guodian Science and Technology Research Institute, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences and GCL group.
Project evaluation was organised by China Electric Enterprise Association, where inspection committee was headed by academic Li Wei and included 11 well-known domestic experts and scholars. During the meeting committee experts reviewed the reports and project materials prepared by Helan Turbines Co., Ltd, and concluded that developed by the company research project reached international advanced level and fully realizes entire process of research and development, manufacturing and maintain of new independent intellectual property such as low-emission small power gas turbine unit.
Research project was jointly completed by Helan Turbines Co., Ltd, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Suzhou Blue Sky Gas Thermal Power Co., Ltd., Guodian Science and Technology Research Institute. Development of the project was performed from scratch and allowed to create necessary production base for gas turbine manufacturing.
